ClassMate AI provides AI-powered educational tools for teachers and educators ("the Service"). This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules for using our Service. By using ClassMate AI, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

2. Prohibited Uses

You must NOT use ClassMate AI to:

2.1 Illegal or Harmful Content

  • Generate content that promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal acts
  • Create material that harasses, threatens, or defames individuals or groups
  • Produce sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW content
  • Generate hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that incites hostility based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin

2.2 Deception and Misrepresentation

  • Create fake news, misinformation, or misleading educational materials
  • Impersonate other individuals, institutions, or organizations
  • Forge documents, certificates, or official records
  • Generate content designed to deceive students, parents, or administrators

2.3 Academic Dishonesty

  • Generate content for students to submit as their own original work (plagiarism facilitation)
  • Create exam answers, test keys, or materials designed to enable cheating
  • Produce essays or assignments intended to bypass academic integrity policies

2.4 Technical Abuse

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or source code
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with Service operation
  • Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or usage restrictions

2.5 Unauthorized Commercial Use

  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated content without permission
  • Use the Service to build competing products or services
  • Bulk-generate content for spam, SEO manipulation, or similar purposes

3. AI Content Responsibility

  • Review before use: All AI-generated content should be reviewed by a qualified educator before use in classroom settings.
  • Accuracy: AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. Users are responsible for fact-checking all output.
  • Age-appropriateness: Users must ensure generated content is age-appropriate for their intended student audience.
  • Not medical/legal advice: Our tools are for educational purposes only and do not provide medical, legal, or professional advice.

4. Age Restrictions

ClassMate AI is intended for use by educators aged 18 and older. If you are under 18, you may only use this Service under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or teacher who has accepted these terms on your behalf.

5. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take action against any suspected violation of this policy. Actions may include but are not limited to:

  • Content removal
  • Account warning or suspension
  • Immediate account termination without refund
  • Reporting to law enforcement if illegal activity is detected

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us at support@classmateai.net. We review all reports and take appropriate action.

7. Changes to This Policy
